Mirror your Apple Vision Pro to another device

Find out how to mirror what you see on Apple Vision Pro to an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible smart TV. You can also use Apple Vision Pro as an AirPlay Receiver to view another device's screen.

Before you begin

  • To mirror your view on Apple Vision Pro, you will need an iPhone running iOS 17.2 or later, an iPad running iPadOS 17.2 or later, a supported Mac running macOS Monterey or later, an Apple TV (2nd generation or later) or an AirPlay-compatible smart TV.

  • To use AirPlay Receiver on your Vision Pro, you need visionOS 2 or later.

  • Make sure AirPlay Receiver (or AirPlay) is turned on for your other device as described in the next section.

  • Make sure both of your devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth turned on.

Mirror your view from your Apple Vision Pro

  1. Connect your Vision Pro to the same Wi-Fi network as your other device.

  2. Turn on AirPlay Receiver or AirPlay on your other device:

    • On your Mac: Choose Apple menu  > System Settings (or System Preferences), click General in the sidebar, click AirDrop & Handoff on the right, then turn on AirPlay Receiver. If you have macOS Monterey, find out how to turn on AirPlay Receiver.

    • On your iPhone or iPad: Go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff, then turn on AirPlay Receiver.

    • On your Apple TV: open Settings, select AirPlay and HomeKit, then select AirPlay to turn it on.

    • On your AirPlay-compatible smart TV: check with your TV manufacturer for instructions about how to turn on AirPlay.

  3. Open Control Center using the Control Centre gesture. If you have visionOS 2 or later and you want to open Control Centre by looking up, go to Settings > Accessibility > Interaction, then turn on Look Upwards for Control Centre.

  4. Tap the Control Centre buttonnull.

  5. Tap the Mirror My View buttonnull, then select your other device. Depending on the settings of your other device, you may need to tap Accept, enter a passcode or enter a password to start mirroring.

  6. To stop mirroring, open Control Centre, then tap Stop next to View Mirroring.

Video Mirroring shares your view in up to 1080p resolution to your AirPlay-enabled device. When you mirror your view, null turns green null to let you know that mirroring is active. A pulsing white light on EyeSight lets other people know you are sharing your view.

If you play a protected video, such as a film, TV programme or music video purchased from Apple, the video will display a black screen. Vision Pro doesn’t support the mirroring of these types of video to other devices.

Change audio output

  1. Open Control Centre.

  2. Tap the Control Centre buttonnull.

  3. Tap the Mirror My View buttonnull.

  4. Select a device in the Audio Routing area.
