Display the battery percentage on your iPhone or iPad

Depending on your device, the battery percentage will appear in Control Centre or in the status bar.

Find battery percentage on iPhone 14 and other models with Face ID

On iPhone 14 and other iPhone models with Face ID (iPhone X and later), the battery percentage appears in Control Centre. Just swipe down from the top right-hand corner of your display.

With iOS 16, you can turn on the battery percentage so it appears in your status bar. Go to Settings > Battery, and turn on Battery Percentage.

Find battery percentage on other iPhone models and iPad

The battery percentage is always visible in the status bar on these devices:*

  • iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)

  • iPhone 8 or earlier

  • iPad (all models)

* If the battery percentage isn't displaying, go to Settings > Battery and turn on Battery Percentage.
