How to clean Apple Vision Pro and accessories

Find out how to clean the parts of your Apple Vision Pro, including the cover glass, Light Seal Cushion and more.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro cover glass

If the cover glass becomes smudged, wipe it with a clean, dry microfibre cloth — such as your included Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth. Make sure you store your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth in a clean bag. Backpacks, handbags, pockets and other places may contain particles that could scratch your device.

If you can see loose particles on your cover glass, wipe with a clean, dry microfibre cloth.

You can also apply ZEISS cleaning spray to your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth, then wipe your Apple Vision Pro cover glass dry.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro displays

1. Place your Vision Pro inside its cover and set it on a level surface.

2. Wipe the optical displays with a clean, dry microfibre cloth — such as your included Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth. Don’t use any paper products.

You can also apply ZEISS cleaning spray to your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth, then wipe your Apple Vision Pro displays dry.

How to clean your Light Seal Cushion, head bands and Apple Vision Pro Cover

Use fragrance-free unscented dishwashing liquid. Don’t use cleaning wipes, disinfectant wipes or laundry detergent.

1. Remove your Light Seal Cushion, head band or Apple Vision Pro Cover from the Enclosure.

2. In a clean container, mix 25ml of fragrance-free dishwashing liquid into 500ml of warm water.

3. Place your Light Seal Cushion, head band or Apple Vision Pro Cover in the soapy water.

4. Gently press and rub its surface with your hands and fingers for two minutes.

5. Rinse under running water and gently compress the foam to remove excess soap for 30 seconds. Repeat as needed.

6. Let it air dry at room temperature. Don’t use until it’s fully dry.

How to clean your Light Seal

Use fragrance-free unscented dishwashing liquid. Don’t use cleaning wipes, disinfectant wipes or laundry detergent.

1. Remove the Light Seal from the Enclosure and remove the Light Seal Cushion from the Light Seal.

2. In a clean container, mix 25ml of fragrance-free dishwashing liquid into 500ml of water.

3. Place a soft lint-free cloth in the soapy water.

4. Remove the cloth from the water and remove excess water.

5. Gently rub the surface of the Light Seal with the wet soapy cloth for two minutes.

6. Wet a second clean, lint-free cloth with fresh water and rub to remove any soap residue from the cleaned area.

7. Repeat as needed.

8. Let it air dry at room temperature. Don’t use until it’s fully dry.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro Curtain

If material is stuck to the curtain around the displays, use a dry, lint-free cloth or soft bristle brush to remove the debris. You can also press non-tacky tape onto the curtain and lift it up to remove debris.

To remove a stain, use a damp cloth and gently rub on the stain. Take care not to get the displays wet.

How to clean your Audio Strap

1. Wipe the strap clean with a soft, lint-free cloth. If necessary, lightly dampen the cloth with fresh water, avoiding the microphone and speaker meshes. You can also use hypoallergenic soap for cleaning, avoiding the power connector, speaker mesh, head band connector and the aluminium lid.

2. Clean the speaker meshes with a dry cotton swab.

3. Dry the strap with a soft, lint-free cloth before you attach it to the main system.

How to clean the speaker or microphone meshes on Apple Vision Pro

To remove debris from the microphone or speaker meshes, gently brush with a clean, dry, soft-bristled brush.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro Battery

1. Shut down Apple Vision Pro and unplug the power connector from the audio strap on your Vision Pro.

2. If your battery is plugged into the wall to charge, unplug it.

3. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water to clean the battery’s exterior. Avoid getting any moisture near the power cable.

4. Fully dry with a clean lint-free cloth before you use the battery pack again.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro Power Cable

1. Shut down Apple Vision Pro and unplug the power connector from the strap.

2. If your battery is plugged into the wall to charge, unplug it.

3. Dampen a soft, lint-free cloth with water, then wipe along the length of the cable.

4. If the cable still isn’t clean, use a soft lint-free cloth with soapy water and wipe along the length of the cable.

5. Use a dry cloth to wipe the cable and remove any excess moisture. Avoid getting any moisture near the connector on the cable or the battery.

6. Allow the cable to dry overnight before using it again with your device.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth

Machine wash and machine dry or hand wash and air dry as needed. If your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth is dropped outdoors or on a dirty surface, do not use it to clean the cover glass until it has been thoroughly cleaned.

Make sure you keep your Apple Vision Pro Polishing Cloth clean — dirt and debris can scratch your Apple Vision Pro.

How to clean your Apple Vision Pro Travel Case

1. Wipe the exterior and interior of the case clean with a soft, damp, lint-free cloth.

2. If the exterior still isn’t clean, use a soft lint-free cloth with soapy water.

3. Make sure the case is fully dry before using it with Apple Vision Pro.
